There is a need for a Manual in every organisation inasmuch as it serves as an `Organisation Bible` which inspires the members of the staff to do the right things in a systematic way. Its purpose is to disseminate information, control activities and train personnel at various levels. The company will gain a mileage out of manual`s existence. And so it has come to stay as a window of learning. Once the Manual is mastered, there is no limit to the upward movement of an employee in the organisation as someone has said, "Open the windows of learning and discover how far you can fly."

The emphasis in this book is on how to prepare the Manual and how to implement it and not necessarily to know what a manual is or is not. The manual may or may not be computerised but still it is necessary to know about its preparation and implementation, which is the crux of all organisational manuals, it is assumed that this book will help corporate executives, professionals, businessmen and other management personnel who might be interested in knowing more about organisation manuals. About The Author

 J.D. Tripathi is a Management Consultant and a trainer since over 30 years. He did his post graduate studies in U.K. in Business Administration and Management Studies. He graduated in Commerce from Bombay University. He had worked with Colgate, Palmolive, Blue Star and new Standard Engineering, in senior positions.   

He was a Director of the Training Institute, The Stock Exchange, Bombay, and Vice Principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan`s R.P. Institute of Communication and Management. He was a Consultant with IBCONS and a Guest Faculty with NITIE, He was a visiting Faculty with J.B. Institute of Management Studies, N.M. Institute of Management Studies, Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management and other Management institutes. He was a consulting Editor (Management) of Fortune India Magazine.   

 He has handled a number of consultancy and/or training assignments of a number of companies including Air India, Amul Dairy, Asea Brown Boveri, Bajaj Auto, Bharat Petroleum, BSES, Cynamid, ICICI, IPCL, Johnson and Johnson, Larsen and Toubro, MMRDA, Mukand, TELCO, Vickers Systems, MTNL and Gammon. He is a Business Associate of Tata Consultancy Services. He has contributed 5 Papers in 5 management books and a number of his articles have been published in newspapers and journals.
