About The Author

Dr.S.Ravishankar is a well known HRD and Behavioural Training Specialist, with more than two decades of experience in academic institutions and industry. He has many publications to his credit and is a member of professional bodies like ISTD, ISTE, IIPA, etc. He has conducted a large number of management training programmes.

Dr. Upinder Dhar, Director of the Institute of Management, Nirma University of Science & Technology, Ahmedabad, has been in the profession for the last three decades. Known for his institution building ability, he has conducted a large number of management and faculty development programs for the executives of major business houses and faculty members of technical and non-technical institutions respectively in the country and abroad. Besides undertaking consultancy assignments, he has authored/co-authored more than 400 publications. Being an eminent scholar in human behaviour, eighteen scholars have been awarded Ph.D. degree under his supervision by various Universities so far. In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Dharwas awarded National Fellowship by the Indian Society for Training and Development in 2002-03. He has been on the Panel of Reviewers of number of journals, such as International Journal of Training and Development, AIMS International Journal of Management, and South Asian Journal of Management. He has been on the Panel of Subject Experts maintained by the National Board of Accreditation, AICTE; Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi; and South Asian Quality System. Currently, he is Chairman - Programmes Committee and Member-National Council, ISTD; Member-CAAT; and President - Anthropological and Behavioural Science Section of the Indian Science Congress Association.

Shri J.K.M. Nair, with more than three decades of professional experience, is currently Director (HRD and Trg.) and Principal, SMS (of Executive Ship Management, Singapore). Earlier, he was General Manager and Principal, Anglo-Eastern Maritime Trg. Centre (of Anglo-Eastern Ship Management, Hong Kong) and also with Shipping Corporation of India in various senior positions. A luminary from World Maritime University where he did PG Studies in HRD, he has many publications to his credit. His specialization include Marine Engg., HRD, Safety Engg., Training Systems, IT, Maritime Affairs etc. He is a member of ISTD, Institute of Maritime Engineers, WMU-India Chapter, LPA etc. He has conducted many technical and management training programmes and has received many awards including `Best Maritime Trainer Award`.

Dr. H. L. Kaila working as Reader and Head of Guidance and Counselling Department, SNDT Women`s University, Mumbai. He worked at Central Labour Institute for 101/2 years in the Industrial Psychology Division, and since 6 years at Psychology Department of SNDT. He has worked with NGOs viz., NASEOH, KRIPA, BPA, TASH and DAV Centre of Creative Education. Dr. Kaila is M.A. Ph.D. (Social Sciences), Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, Diploma in Training and Development. He has published research articles consultancy reports, training booklets, and participated in WHO/UGC/ICSSR projects. His earlier books published are Stress: Understanding Female Phone Operators, Parents and Value Education (in three languages) and Reflections of the Woman Manager. His areas of interest are women and health, research methodology, counselling, adolescent`s issues, parent education, organisational behaviour. He has worked on a number of academic / professional / administrative assignments. Dr. Kail conducted and participated in national / international seminars and workshops. He is an Editor of `The School Today` Journal. He initiated a community experiment namely GAP (Groups of Adolescents and Parents) and Tele-counselling Network in Mumbai.
