About The Author

Dr. Mahalaxmi Krishnan (M. Com., DHE, M.Phil., Ph.D), Associate Professor of Department of Commerce in K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce of Mumbai University is actively engaged in research work all through her scholastic career spanning over 30 years. She holds a Post Graduate degree in Commerce and Doctoral degree in Management Studies from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai. She is a Ph.D. guide in Management Studies (SNDT University) as well as Ph.D. guide in Commerce (Mumbai University).

Dr. Mahalaxmi Krishnan has more than 70 published research papers in many national and international refereed journals of repute. She has authored the book titled `Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management` at graduate level as well as designed the syllabus for Mumbai University. She has presented more than 100 research papers in International and National seminars and conferences across India. Her interest and excellence in putting innovative ideas in a simple research language brought several best research paper awards and trophies at various National and International conferences. She is a member of several academic and professional bodies. She is a Coordinator of National Accounting Talent Search Competition, Mumbai Centre (All India Accounting Competition of Indian Accounting Association). She is also a recipient of Bharat Jyoti Award for meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role in academics and research.
