About The Author

(Late) Professor S.A. Sherlekar was Professor and Head of the Department of Business Management in R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics, Matunga, Mumbai. He was a brilliant academician and held Masters Degrees in Arts and Commerce. He wrote the first book on Marketing Management in the year 1981 when there was hardly any other Indian books on Marketing Management. Since then, the title has gone through successful revised editions and reprints showing the popularity of the book. His other books include "Principles of Business Management", "Modern Business Organisation and Management", "Global Marketing Management" and "Management - Value Oriented Holistic Approach".

R. Krishnamoorthy has over twenty-five years of professional experience in Sales / Marketing and ten years in HR. He was National Sales Manager at Sandoz Agro and General Manager (HR) at Syngenta Crop Protection.

He has written twenty-five articles on Sales, Marketing and HR, two reference books on "Introduction to Rural Marketing" and "Personal Selling and Sales Management" and two text books on HR. Further, he has revised the popular book on "Marketing Management" written by (Late) Professor S.A. Sherlekar.

A Graduate in Agriculture, he holds a Masters Degree in Marketing Management and a Post-Graduate Diploma in HR. At present, he is engaged in writing and teaching in Management Institutes in Mumbai.

Dr. K.S. Bose is a Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the School of Management Studies, Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree and Post Graduate Courses (Autonomous and Affiliated College of Andhra University), Visakhapatnam. He obtained doctoral degree from the Andhra University and Master of Business Administration degree from the Osmania University.

Prof. Bose is a seif-disciplined academician with over eighteen years of professional experience of lecturing, supervising, mentoring, consulting and research both at masters as well as doctoral level in the specialized areas of marketing management and entrepreneurship. He had been associated with the Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia as an Associate Professor for "FOUR" years, in the Department of Marketing Management, School of Commerce, College of Business and Economics. Further, as a researcher, he has undertaken various consultancy projects funded by both government as well as private organizations and published articles in the areas of Marketing Strategy Formulation and Execution, Agricultural and Food Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Value Chain Analysis of Fisheries and on Agricultural Products.

Dr. K.V.V. Murali Someswara Rao is presently working as Associate Professor and Head of the Department in the Department of Management Studies, Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree and PG Courses(A), affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He is MBA from Andhra University and Ph.D. in Management from Acharya Nagarjuna University. He has been teaching Marketing Management and reiated courses to both graduate and Masters level students for more than a decade. His research areas are reiated to marketing, quantitative analysis and general management.

Dr. Murali had organized various national level seminars related to Management studies and has been granted a major research project in Management discipline by UGC. He has been undertaken various consultancy projects for various public and private sector organizations. He published papers in reputed National and International Journals and participated in many seminars and workshops/conferences conducted by various universities and educational institutions.
