It gives us immense pleasure in presenting the first edition of the book titled “Principles of Event Management” under the new CBCS syllabus of fourth semester B.Com. of Bangalore University, This book is a mater piece for both students and faculties to understands the matters related to Event Management in simple format.

In recent decades, the emergence of event management within the corporate, government and NFP (not for profit) sectors has required a formalization of management training as provided through this Event Management. This subject provides a context to the discipline of event management in which students will be introduced to the event sector through learning about a range of characteristics of events. Students will develop capacity to classify and assess events through a critical perspective to improve the outcomes within a range of event setting. Event Management topics include, industry structure, classification system, business events, sports event, introduction to legal obligation and risk, event marketing and impacts and legacies. The present book covers all the basic elements which are required for the said subject with different concepts. The book is very user friendly in terms of right to the topic intended to study.

About The Author

Prof. Alla Bakash S. is an Associate Professor in Commerce. Hasanath College for Women. Bangalore University. He is also serving as Incharge Principal in Hasanath College. Bangalore. He has a teaching experience of more than 1S years in the field of commerce and management. He has pursued his doctoral degree on the topic "Impact of Foreign Banks on Indian Banking System". He has organised a number of seminars and workshops. He has presented a number of research papers in state, national and international seminars and conferences. His areas of interest include subjects like Taxation. Business Economics. Statistics. Banking. Corporate law. Business Law. Management. Strategic Management.

Dr. S. Nagabhushana, M.Com., MBA, Ph.D., NET, SET, PDF, is the Faculty of and Coordinator, PG Department of Commerce in Hasanath College, Bangalore and having more than 10 Year of experience to his account in various industries like NBFC, Insurance, Commercial Finance and in IT/ITES Multinationals as Finance and Accounts professional and more than 5 year of experience in teaching to higher education. He has several publications and a few books to his account had participated and presented several papers in National and International seminars conducted by various institutions.

Dr. K. Ramachandra, has to his credit M.Com.(Rank Holder), MBA., DPM & IR, LLB., and Ph.D., and over two decades of teaching and research experience in the field of Commerce and Management disciplines. He was a High Court Advocate with strong base and exposure on business, taxation, and I PR trade laws. He has produced several Ph.Ds and M.Phils. He has published several International Research Papers in Journals, Magazines and Newspapers of Global Repute. Currently working as Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce and Management, Maharani`s Arts, Commerce and Management College for Women, Bangalore, a NAAC accredited `A` Grade College.
