About The Author

Dr. Swagata Chatterjee Sarkar did her B.Sc. in Botany Honours from Lady Brabourne college, Kolkata. She did her M.Sc. in Microbiology from University of Kalyani, West Bengal and stood third in order of merit. She was awarded Ph.D. in Microbiology by the same University in 2011. Her interest of research was in bioremediation of metal toxicity from environment by bacterial strains. She has several international research papers to her credit. She is at present serving in Kalyani Mahavidyalaya under University of Kalyani as department in charge in department of Microbiology.
