Prof. Ravindra Kumar holds M.A. (Psychology), Dip. in Labor Laws, and MBA and Ph.D. in Management from IIT, Delhi. Currently, he is serving as Fellow and heading Lal Bahadur Shastri Research Centre for Public Policy and Social Change (LBSRC), a Research Arm of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), Delhi.
His prior engagement includes VC, Shri Venkateshwara Open University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Earlier, he served UGC and AICTE, NCERT, IIT/D, NIPCCD, etc. in different capacities and introduced many innovative work practices, which resulted into substantial savings in public expenditure. His efforts in streamlining delivery mechanism in higher and technical education received applause from many eminent personalities.
Prof. Kumar is a prolific writer and has several research papers to his credit in referred national and international journals, conducted FDPs / seminars / conferences / dialogues, delivered keynote addresses as well as Convocation Addresses, and has been conferred with various awards, recognition and appreciations. He has provided consultancy to reputed B-Schools on a variety of academic matters. His areas of research interest include quality research, students truancy, students capability building and industry expectations, socially responsible products, and empowerment of vulnerable sections of the society. He has produced four doctoral scholars and his three more scholars, including one foreign diplomat, are likely to earn their doctorate degrees shortly.
Dr. G.L. Sharma is an eminent professor of Finance and Accounting and is presently serving Lai Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi. He is M.Com., Ph.D. from University of Rajasthan and has been in teaching and research for over four decades. During 1982-1985 he was a Reader in Finance, Department of Business Administration, Ahmedu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He also completed a Research Project on ‘Institutional Financing of Small Scale Industries in Nigeria with special reference to Northern States (A Comparative Study of Nigeria and India)’. He has published 6 books including Advanced Cost Accounting, Cost Analysis & Control - A Managerial Approach and Theory & Techniques of Cost Accounting. He has jointly edited three books – ‘Corporate Finance: Emerging Options’, ‘Contemporary Issues in Business Finance & Taxati’ and a book on ‘Leveraging Human Potential for Excellence’. He has contributed large numbers of research articles in leading Journals. Currently, he is working on research project ‘Activity Based Costing in Indian Industry’. Dr. Sharma is a co-author of Implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme: A case study of Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Sharma is co-author of a nation-wide research project on Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme conducted by LBSIM in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, UP, Orissa and Haryana. The research report was released by the Vice President of India in March 2010.
Dr. Sharma is the Managing Editor of LBS Journal of Management & Research. He is Secretary General of Indian Financial Management Association and also Managing Editor of Indian Journal of Finance & Research. He has widely traveled both in India and Abroad. Dr. Sharma is currently Advisor: Corporate Interface at the LBSIM, Delhi.
Ms. Sheetal, B.Tech., MBA, M.A. (Psychology-pursuing), Ph.D. (Thesis submitted) is serving as Research Associate in Lal Bahadur Shastri Research Centre for Public Policy and Social Change (LBSRC), the Research Arm of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) Delhi. She has nine years experience as researcher, Assistant Professor and Head, Management Department in a premier B-School. She cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2016 and has completed short-term courses in the area of Research and Human Resource Management from IIT, Roorkee and IIT, Kharagpur. She has presented research papers in national and international conferences held at IITs, IIMs and other repute organizations and published in referred research journals. She has served as resource person in Faculty Development Programs, Soft Skill Trainings and Research Workshops.
