About The Book

"Business Law for Management" has been penned with particular concentration on presenting the commercial law in a simplified and codified form. It is aimed to be of utility in day-to-day application of law to every reader, whether a student for management, a businessman or a consumer, industrialist or a trader, professional, executive, managerial personnel, exporter or importer, investor, depository, participant, brokers in share market, law maker or law enforcer.

About The Author

Mr. K.R. Bulchandani passed law from Government Law College, Mumbai in 1970, was 3rd on the Merit List in the first batch of three years LL.B. course, after attaining 1st Class in Bachelor of General Laws. He went on to sign Articles and passed his Solicitors` examination, last held under the auspices of Bombay High Court, and was placed again 3rd on the Merit List.     

Resigning his lucrative posting and career in Air India, Mr. Bulchandani joined the Bar in 1970. Co-incidentally he received his Sanad and was enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council of Maharashtra on completion of his 24th birthday and beginning of silver jubilee period of his life. Mr. Bulchandani is also registered Supreme Court Advocate since 1994.     

He was part time professor in Government Law College, Mumbai from 1976 to 1988. During the span of 12 years he taught different subjects in law to his students, like, sales Tax, Criminal Jurisprudence, Law of sale of Goods, Partnership, Negotiable Instruments, Transfer of Property and Easements. Mr. Bulchandani continues to deliver lectures under the auspices of Bar Council of Maharashtra for students and trainee Advocates.   

From 1979, Mr. Bulchandani was Central Government Counsel in the Bombay High Court defending the Government of India in Customs, Excise and other legal matters. He was appointed as Senior Central Government Counsel in 1993. Several of the landmark cases in which Mr. Bulchandani has appeared are reported in various law journals.    Author of several books on law in his hay days, Mr. Bulchandani due to his professional commitments could not devote much to his writings until in 1978 he penned his first edition on "Business Law". The book received tremendous response particularly from the students of B. Com. The book has since been published in its 20th Edition in 2006. Justice Lentin, in his foreword to the 15th Edition of the book, has commended the book in following words: "Writing a foreword is a chore with rarely an exception. The exception is Business Law by Mr. K.R. Bulchandani,      

When writing a foreword becomes a pleasure." In view of the immense popularity of the "Business Law" book, Mr. Bulchandani penned Business Law for Management dealing with most of the commercial law including Law of Restrictive Trade practices, Law of Foreign Exchange and Laws of securities and stock Exchange, Law on Information on Technology, and Competition Act. The first Edition of the book was blessed with a Foreword by Mr. Justice Y.K. Sabharwal, the then chief Justice of Bombay High Court.     

Further extensions of Business Law for Management on all India level is now being presented by Mr. Bulchandani in the form of this treaties for treaties for professionals, Executives, Management Consultants, Students and others. Every reader will find this book indispensable as every day activities of each individual are regulated by one or the other law and this book deals with most of such laws.
