Dr. A. Thomas William is a Senior Lecturer in Social Sciences in the Post Graduate and Research Department of Rural Development Science. Arul Anandar College (Autonomous), Karumathur, Madurai. He has also taught and researched earlier in post Graduate and Research Department of Social Work of Sacred heart College (Autonomous) Tirupattur, Vellore District. He earned his graduation in Social Work from Loyola College (Autonomous), Chennai and completed Doctoral Studies in Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.   

Dr. William specialized in women studies, Deviance, Children at Risk Welfare Administration, Human Rights and NGOs and Management. He has participated and presented papers in National International Conferences and Published articles.   

He is presently appointed as the First Class Judicial Magisterial Chairman, by Government of Tamil Nadu in Govt. Child Welfare Committee, for Madurai and Then District to adjudicate cases of Persons below 18 Years.   

He is actively involved as Consultants to various NGO’s in organizing development programmes, guiding in Proposal Writing and Evaluation Studies. His course on NGO Management has been approved by the University Grants Commission as an add on Couse and Now offered to students at the college level.

 Dr. A.J. Christopher is the Reader in the Post Graduate and Research Department of Social Work, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous) Tiruputtur, Vellore District. He graduated in social work from Madras School of Social Work, Chennai and Completed his Ph.D. from Tata Institute of Socal Sciences (TISS Deemed Univeristy) Mumbai. He was awarded the University Gold Medal for Standing First in order of Merit in Diploma in youth in Development work by Indira Gandhi National Open University.     

Dr. Christopher specialized in Rural Community Development, Community Organisation, Social Action, Women Studies, Youth Development and Computer Application for Social Work and Quantitative Research.     

He has undertaken many major and minor researches and conducted Need Assessment Survey for many NGOs, Corporate Sectors and Religious Organisational. He has also conducted evaluation of NGO activity assigned to him by the national and international funding agencies.   

He is guiding scholars for doctoral research and at present seven scholars are doing their doctoral programme under his guidance. He has attended many National and International Seminar and Conferences and presented papers. He has also published papers and articles in reputed journals.
