About The Book

This book is intended to satisfy the requirements of syllabi of some universities for pharmaceutical courses. About The Author

Prof S.N. Jogdand -

M.Sc., M.Phil, has been currently working as Senior Lecturer in Microbiology in Modern College,Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

He has worked in industries on various fermentation processes for eight years before joining the teaching career. He has a 17 years experience of teaching Microbiology to B.Sc., M.Sc., classes in Mumbai University. Industrial Microbiology, Environmental Science and Biotechnology are the fields of his interests. He has written and published five books, one for XI standard biology students, one in Environmental Analysis and three books "Advances in Biotechnology", "Environmental Biotechnology" and "Gene Biotechnology." All these books are received well by the students. The books on biotechnology are recommended by Mumbai University for B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses. He writes regularly articles on environmental topics and has attended seminars and workshops on these subjects.
