About The Author

Dr. M.A. Deepa is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Sciences at Kristu Jayanti College, Bangaluru, India. She has obtained her Ph.D. in Botany from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She is specialised in the field of Plant and Agricultural Biotechnology. Earlier, she worked as Scientist at R&D Centre, Cholayil Private Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu for a period of two years. She has published twenty-nine research papers in both National and International journals and one book entitled "Biocontrol agents for disease management in sustainable agriculture".

She has great interest in teaching Plant Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology and Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering and Microbiology for students at both UG and PG levels. She has also guided number of research projects for M.Sc. and M.Phil. students of various colleges and universities. She is also a consultant for various Biotech Industries and training centres. She is an editorial board member of six international journals. She is also a recognised research guide from reputed universities in Tamil Nadu.
