About The Book

Management Accounting deals with the development and use of accounting information by different organisations for the purpose of decision making, planning, control and performance evaluation. The field of management accounting has been influenced greatly by competitive and complex business environment. This requires that management accounting as a discipline should help the managers who face with managerial problems in their organisations. About The Author

Dr. Jawahar Lal has been a Professor in Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. He also served as Head, Department of Commerce, and Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Business, University of Delhi. Earlier, he has taught at Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, He possesses forty-four years of teaching and research experience. He has been associated with teaching of postgraduate commerce and management courses and imparting dissertation and thesis guidance to students of M.Phil., Ph.D., MIB, and M.H.R.O.D. Programmes.   

Dr. Lal is the member of many academic and professional bodies, is on the Editorial Board and Review Board of many reputed journals, member of Board of Studies and Research Committees of Indian Universities, member of Indian Commerce Association and Indian Accounting Association. He has been conferred with IAA Fellowship award 2007 for lifetime dedication to the Accounting Education and Research.   

Dr. Lal has contributed sixty papers in reputed journals and has presented papers in fifty national and international conferences. He has also chaired technical sessions in many conferences. He has written over a dozen reputed books. 

Ms. Anupriya Srivastava is currently a Senior Manager at Caim India Limited, Gurgaon, India. She holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication and Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM) from National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai. She is also pursuing CFA course from Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (USA).

She has more than 10 years of diverse and extensive experience in energy, retail, and information technology industries. In her professional career, she has worked in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate planning and budgeting, financial planning and analysis, cost optimization, and business development. She has also worked on developing economic models for project evaluations and financial models for mergers and acquisitions. She has also participated in Executive Development Programs on Advanced Corporate Finance organised by IIM, Ahmedabad. She is associated with different Management Institutes and Indian Universities as a guest speaker.
