About The Author

Dr. B.M. Rao is currently Professor and Head of Chemistry Deptt. at Visvesveraya Regional college of Engineering, Nagpur. He has extensive teaching experience of 37 years of Engineering, Nagpur and V. Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur. He was a DAAD post-doctoral fellow at Max-Planck-Institute fur Kohelenforschung, Mulheim / Rhur and also at University ESSEN Germany. He has successfully completed a few Research and Development projects sponsored by UGC/MHRD, Govt. of India. Six candidates have received their M.Phil and Ph.D. degress of south Gujarat University, surat and Nagpur University, Nagpur. About 40 research papers have appeared in journals of International conferences, viz. PRIOCHEM ASIA, 1984, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia); RACI, Sydney (Australia), 1987 and also visited Sheffield Hallam Uiversity and other reputed Universities in U.K. under the UK-REC collaborative project "Materials Theme" as a visiting professor. He has received Environmental Protection award from Flora-Tech labs (NGO) in recognition of his work in the field of "Pesticide redidues in soil and aquatic environment and thier general effects". He has delevered UGC invited lectures at different Universities and also a member on the Board of Studies in Applied chemistry, MACT, Bhopal. He is a Life member of Indian Science Congress Association, Life Fellow of Indian Council of Chemists.
