In global and domestic business, without maintaining world-class quality in operations and without practicing ethical aspects of business, the survival of business is a difficult task. At macro and micro level, business managers who are the drivers of their business, have to have solid training in managerial aspects. This work has an integrate approach of management, blending both principles and behaviour in a workplace. The book is divided into two sections, viz. (i) Management and (ii) Behavioural Process.

The first section contains principles and process of management. This section has 12 chapters which discuss management issues such as planning, organizing, leadership, communication, motivating and controlling. Initial chapter contains the overview of management and the role of managers.

The second section is on behavioural process and contains 13 chapters covering, the issues of individual behaviour, group behaviour and organizational behaviour.

All the chapters in both the sections have been carefully designed to provide the information on the chapter theme and written in a simple language for an easy understanding of the readers. Each chapter contains learning objective, text, summary and question for self-study. About The Author

Prof. H.R. Appannaiah, is an erudite scholar and a prolific writer. He has promoted educational institutions and has a teaching experience of over 50 years, serving in the capacity of professor, principal and the director of postgraduate center. He has widely traveled abroad and has presented many research papers in national and international conferences. He has authored over 90 titles on Commerce and Management subjects, catering to the needs of graduate and postgraduate studies in Commerce and Management. He is a member of Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Karnataka and has served as Chairman of Business Education Committee, besides being the member of International Trade Committee, IT Committee and Tourism Committee. He has founded Federation of Teachers` Councils of Commerce and Management in Karnataka to revamp business education. As a Founder President, he has contributed to give a new turn to business education in Karnataka. At the instance of the Federation, Government of Karnataka appointed a high-powered committee to restructure business education in Karnataka for which he was appointed as a member.

His contribution to commerce and management literature in KANADA (state language) is immeasurable. Glossary of business concepts in Kannada covering over 4,000 concepts on Finance, Marketing, HRM and Accounting authored by him is an academic marvel. This work is acclaimed as a classic literature of its own kind on Commerce and Management in Kannada.

Tumkur University has conferred on Prof. H.R. Appannaiah, Doctor of Letters for his thesis on business education. Considering his contribution to business education, Tumkur University (Karnataka) has honored him by conferring "Honorary Professor of Management".

Dr. Dinakar. G., B.E., MBA, M.Tech., M.Phil., Ph.D. Serving as Professor and HOD - MBA at Rajarajeshwari College of Engineering, Bengaluru. Being an engineer, served Karnataka State Finance Corporation as Manager Systems for 11 years, before joining IBM Global Services CT - USA, where he worked for more than 2 years. On returning to India, he entered the education field and served education institutions in the capacity of Principal and professor for the past 10 years.

Dr. M. Muninarayanappa M.Com., MBA, M.Lisc., M.Phil., Ph.D. is a Reader in Dept. of Commerce Bangalore University and he has produced many research articles on Commerce and Management. Besides producing three Ph.D. graduates, he is also guiding Ph.D. students.
