About The Book

Management is perceived as the constructive organization of men, materials and money. Over the past several decades the concept of management has evolved with the developments in organized human activity, supplemented and accelerated by the quantum leap in technology, global interdependence, economic sophistication and intellectual advancement. In this context it is perhaps only inevitable to assume that this new millennium belongs to the accomplished manager and the way he deploys his ideas and resources for the benefit of not only the company he serves but also equally those he works with and for.

The management millennium is therefore with us. It is the only good manager who will survive the relentless competition afforded by globalization, the multiplier effects of economic opportunities, and complexity of the intellectual content of trade and commerce. The present publication attempts to bring together three distinct aspects of new management philosophy for the benefit of students as well as corporate professionals. It is hoped that the materials brought together in the following pages will serve the interest of not only aspiring management professionals but also those who have acquired corporate exposure and would like to explore new avenues in the vast, complex, always interesting and extremely rewarding world of management.
