About The Author

Prof. Dr. S. Ravishankar is a well-known senior HR and Organizational Behaviour specialist. He has worked at senior/top management levels, both in academic institutions and industry.

He was senior faculty with College of Applied Science (MOHE), ICT, Oman; Professor at Abu Dhabi University; Al-Kharj University, Saudi Arabia; and Professor & Head of School of Business and Logistics, University of Bolton, UAE Campus. Earlier, he was Director and Professor at B-Schools and Professor at NITIE (Govt. of India), Mumbai. He has also rich experience as Dy. General Manager (HRD) at AFCONS Infrastructure Ltd., and ISPAT Industries Ltd., Maharashtra.

He has large number of books and papers published to his credit. He has conducted large number of corporate training programs and is a member of many professional bodies like ISTD, ISTE, IIPA, BPC, etc. He was also honored with various academic awards including the ISTD Fellow for outstanding contributions in the field of HRD.

Dr. Satish Pai is M. A. (Psychology), Ph.D., P. G.D. H. R. D., N. D. (Naturopathy ). He has also to his credit Diplomas in Yoga, Ayurveda & Acupressure besides diplomas in Financial and Marketing Management. He has 26 years experience of about 18 years, he was Dy. General Manager (officiating) and Principal of a leading Banks Staff College for over 7 years. He has trained thousands of officers & staff in 40 different management subjects. He was also Honarary Editor of 3 publications.

Dr. Pai has contributed about 50 research papers and articles in many National/Intentional seminars & publications. His papers o "Yoga for stress Management" and "Application of Yoga in Industry" were accepted by Central Research Institute of Yoga, Ministry of Health, Government of India. At present he is Deputy General Manager in BSES Limited & Chief of BSES Management Institute, Mumbai.

Dr. Upinder Dhar, Director of the Institute of Management, Nirma University of Science & Technology, Ahmedabad, has been in the profession for the last three decades. Known for his institution building ability, he has conducted a large number of management and faculty development programs for the executives of major business houses and faculty members of technical and non-technical institutions respectively in the country and abroad. Besides undertaking consultancy assignments, he has authored/co-authored more than 400 publications. Being an eminent scholar in human behaviour, eighteen scholars have been awarded Ph.D. degree under his supervision by various Universities so far. In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Dharwas awarded National Fellowship by the Indian Society for Training and Development in 2002-03. He has been on the Panel of Reviewers of number of journals, such as International Journal of Training and Development, AIMS International Journal of Management, and South Asian Journal of Management. He has been on the Panel of Subject Experts maintained by the National Board of Accreditation, AICTE; Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi; and South Asian Quality System. Currently, he is Chairman - Programmes Committee and Member-National Council, ISTD; Member-CAAT; and President - Anthropological and Behavioural Science Section of the Indian Science Congress Association.

Shri S.V. Kamat is presently Senior Vice President of AFCONS Infrastructure Ltd., Mumbai, and has nearly three decades of professional experience. His areas of expertise and interest include Civil Engineering / Construction Management, H.R. & Personnel Administration. He takes keen interest in counseling and development of human resource, especially younger generation at work place. He has travelled widely and has rich experience of managing people in diverse socio-cultural work environments.
