About The Book

The subject financial analysis for bank lending has assumed considerable important, particularly since early 1990’s when. Like most of the countries. India opted for the policy of liberalization and globalization after 1991.

About The Author

Sampat P. Singh, presently visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad was educated at Allahabad. Bombay, Stanford and Harvard. He taught at the University of Allahabad for about two decades before joining as Professor at NIBM in 1971 from where he retired in 1993. He has large number of research papers published in various economic and Financial Journals to his credit and is author and editor of several books. He was member, Tandon Committee on followup of Bank credit in 1972-73, besides being on several other similar committees of RBI and NIBM.

Dr. S. Singh, presently Director at the Apeejay School of Marketing and Management, New Delhi, holds a first class Post-Graduate Degree in Commerce from Allahabad university and a Ph.D. in Economics from Jodhpur University. He taught in Allahabad and Jodhpur Universities. Besides S.P. Bankers Training College, Bombay for a decade and half before joining Punjab National Bank as Chief Manger in early 1978. There he rose to the position of General Manager in 1988 and was elevated as Executive Director by the Government of India in 1993 and posted in Allahabad Bank, where from he retired recently. He also taught at the New Delhi Institute before joining his present assignment. He has been member of several committees set up by RBI, IBA and NIBM.
