About The Book

This book is a compilation of application based case studies in the Indian context. Cases from varied areas of management. Give the reader an opportunity to think critically and engage in managerial decision-making. Author have undertaken extensive research individually, to write their case studies and this makes each case study unique, informative and reprehensive of the industry's realities.

As a pedagogical tool, case studies have been historically used in business education because of their ability to extend and synthesize course content by proving specific application to real organizational problem and issues. Cases may be classified as tools that allow one to simulate managing a company. Case teaching is said to better motivate students and to transmit information to students more effectively than lecture teaching. Some use cases to demonstrate real world practices and to liven up their teaching and other use cases as the foundation of an integrated inductively driven teaching process. Case studies also assist a faculty to better execute their role of a facilitator, coach and demonstrator.

Keeping all these merits in mind. Experts and faculty members of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi, have compiled this book to fill the knowledge gap existing within the available literature, in the form of Indian case studies. This book is organized into seven sections which include case studies from various domains which are, general Management, Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Strategic, Organization Behaviour and Human Resources and Information Technology.
