Computer Application in Business Accounting refers to the application of different tools and techniques of information technology in the day-to-day business activities. In present scenario, every business activities are stored and processed by computers. Activities like online shopping, e-procurement, e-banking, net banking, SMS alert, are carried down by the use of information technology. While using computer as an important tool of business organization, it is very much important for all internal stakeholders to understand the computer architecture and various tools related applied for the benefit and development of business activities. The present book attempts to cover the application of computer in different functional units of the business organization. About The Author

Mr. Rasananda Mohanty, is a MBA (Finance and System) qualified and Tally certified professional. He is certified by Institute of Certified Book keepers (ICB), London for the outstanding skill in Computerised Book-keeping and computerised Accounting. He is certified as TDL (Tally Definition Language) developer by Tally solutions Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Mohanty has more than 12 years experience in teaching Computer Application in Business. He has been working as resource personnel to teach computerized accounting (Tally.ERP9) in B.Com., M.Com., and IMBA stream at Ravenshaw University since 2004. He is also associated with Xavier Institute of Management for taking sessions on Tally-ERP9 in management development programs. He has got a very good skill in understanding the problems faced by Tally-ERP9 users and to give a complete solutions. He has also worked as a consultant in Tally.ERP9 for some projects of Odisha Govt. He provides need based customized modules to Tally users. He is a very well-known face in Odisha for such skill. His area of interest is Financial Accounting, Information Technology, Computerised Accounting and TDL Programming. He writes articles on topics related to IT and Financial Management.

Prof. Sanjay Kumar Satapathy had started the career as a Lecturer in Commerce in  Cuttack College in 1984. Sailing successfully through Gopabandhu Science College, Athgarh; Evening College, Rourkela; Government College, Bhawanipatna; FM College, Balasore; MPC College, Baripada; Rama Devi Womens College, Bhubaneswar; He is now serving at Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. He has specialised interest in QT, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Co-operative Management, Tribal Economy, HRM, HRA, Entrepreneurship, MIS, MSMEs, Culture and Development, Time and Stress Management, Happiness Economics and Media Management. A Ph.D. in Development of Tribal Economy through Co-operatives: A Study on LAMPS of Kalahandi, Prof. Satapathy has guided 12 Ph.Ds., written more than 40 research papers and attended more than 60 seminars / conferences (Regional / State / National / International) in commerce and Management. Bestowed with a  number of awards/honours. He is awarded HIND RATNA for contribution to Education, Society and Culture by NRI Welfare Society and Government of India in  2015.
