It is a matter of immense pleasure for us to bring the first edition of this book entitled, "Management Principles and Applications". The contents of the book have been specially structured and written for B.Com. (Honours), Semester III students of University of Delhi. The syllabus and guidelines issued by University od Delhi have been kept at the focus while writing this book. Consistent and constant endeavour has benn made to make the book helpful and interesting for overage of the topics vital for the course. The main objective of the book has been to equip the students with fundamental comprehension of the concepts and their applications in management.

The structure of the textual matter of the book has been segmented into five broad units with further chapter divisions under each unit.

The main highlights of this book are as follows :
- Each chapter beings with a brief synopsis stating the overall coverage of that chapter along with learning objectives for the students.
- While writing the book, an attempt has been made to keep language simple and easy to understand.

About The Author

Dr. Monica Aggarwal is an Assistant Professor in Department of Commerce, Aryabhatta College, University of Delhi. She has an extensive academic and professional career of more than 15 years. She has done her Masters in Commerce from Hansraj College, University of Delhi and completed her Ph.D. from Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi. She is also a member of Indian Accounting Association (NCR Chapter). She has contributed a number of research articles in various Indian and International journals. She has also presented many papaers in both national and international conferences.

S.K. Singh is Professor of Management Studies, and is currently Head & Dean, in Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. A thorough academician has 15 Research-based books published and 63 Research papers/articles in Journals of National and International repute. Five sponsored research projects completed. He has been an extremely successful administrator and has held several positions that includes Chairman, Human Resource Development Cell, Banaras Hindu University, Chairman Placement Cell FMS BHU, Chief Proctor, Banaras Hindu University and many others. He is also recipient of Gold Star Asia International Award, Asia Pacific International Award, Bharat Vidya Shiromani Award, Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Gold Medal Award for his outstanding contribution in management education.
