As usual, the banking scenario in India is changing fast to keep pace with the international banking practice. Indeed, the Indian banking has ushered in a new dawn of progress on the Indian horizon and it has become the lifeline of the nation and the people. The students of banking and insurance, therefore, must be exposed not only to be theoretical aspects of banking and insurance, but also to their day-to-day operations. The impact of modern technology has made them offer innumerable and innovative services to their customers whose expections are ever increasing. All the matters have been presented in a lucid manner and in simple language.
