Dr. N. Guruprasad is currently working as Professor in Department of Information Science & Engineering, New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore. His academic degrees include B.E. in Computer Science, an M.S. from BITS Pilani and Ph.D. in the field of OPERATIONS RESEARCH. He has extensive experience of more than 25 years teaching undergraduate and graduates in the field of Computer Science, Information Science and Computer Applications, along with industry experience.

His main area of interest includes C and Data Structures, Object Oriented Programming with C++, Analysis and Design of Algorithms, Internet Technologies, LINUX, Numerical Analysis and Operations Research.

He was the Regional Student Coordinator for CSI (Computer Society of India) during 2002-2004 and also the Management Committee member during 2002-03. He is Life Member of CSI, ORSI and ISTE. He is also in the Editorial Board of couple of International Journals and also in the Advisory Committee.

To his credit, he has more than 50 publications both National and International Conferences, has been a moderator on various panel discussions and also authored three books prior to this.
