Dr. Mriganka De Sarkar joined West Bengal Education Service in the year 2001. He has served five government colleges so far with more than 18 years of teaching and research experience. He obtained his doctoral degree in Environmental Economics from the University of Calcutta.

He worked as Principal Investigator in two sponsored research projects funded by University Grants Commission and Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. He also guided many projects and dissertations as part of course curriculum of different universities. He has authored so far three books (two as co-author) out of which one book has been published by International Publisher. He has also contributed chapters in two edited books published by National Publishers of repute. He has five publications in peer reviewed journal so far. A number of papers also have been accepted in National and International Conference for presentation.

Presently, he is working as Associate Professor of Economics at Goenka College of Commerce & Business Administration, Kolkata.
