We feel immense pleasure in bringing out this text-book of Physics for the course of B.Sc. Semester II of Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. Recently, new syllabus was proposed for B.Sc. Semester pattern in choice based credit system (CBCS) in Gondwana University. This step has brought in its wake difficulties to the teachers and students; teachers have acquainted with the new trends of requirements, but the students have confronted to the problem of availability of the study materials and books covering newly prescribed syllabus. Thus, this text-book is aiming to resolve the problem of the students and teachers by giving the comprehensive details of the topics of the syllabus at one spot.

This book focuses to build the understanding and to enhance the interest of the students to learn the Electrostatics, Magnetostatics and Electrodynamics along with the basic mathematical tools of vectors and vector analysis. The book encompasses the complete material in both examination and conceptual point of view. However, the depth of the topic is limited as per the scope of the syllabus and the patterns of the question asked in related examination.
