In this context, the Andhra Pradesh and its neighboring universities have taken a lead by incorporating Banking as a subject of thrust area for the Commerce and Management streams.

As usual, the banking and financial scenario in India are changing fast to keep pace with the modern technology and also the international banking practice. Indeed, the Indian banking has ushered in a new dawn of progress on the Indian horizon, and it has become the lifeline of the nation and the people. The students of finance, therefore, must be exposed not only to the theoretical aspects of banking but also, to their day-to-day operations. The impact of modern technology has made the financial sector to offer innumerable and innovative services to their customers whose expectations are ever increasing. Hence, the students of Commerce and Management are badly in need of a suitable textbook covering all these aspects incorporating therein the latest developments in the respective fields.
