The first edition of my book "Financial Accounting". This book is an outcome of a long tenure of teaching the subject at the post graduate and undergraduate level by the author and is prepared with a desire to bring out a comprehensive text on the subject. The purpose in writing the book is to introduce the subject with clarity and to enable the students to learn and understand the intricacies of accounting in a logical sequence from depreciation accounting to single entry system via provisions and reserves, bills of exchange, consignment accounts and joint venture accounting.
